The Blue Jays (57-45) have excelled since replacing their old manager, Charlie Montoyo with interim manager John Schneider. They are 12-3 heading into Tuesday’s series against the Rays, and are first in the AL wild card standings. When they faced Minnesota in the first half of the season, they lost two of three; their win came with Jose Berrios on the mound. They’ve been without Manoah since July 29, but reports indicate he should be ready to return to the rotation on Thursday.

The Twins (54-48) are first in the AL Central, but have struggled to a 4-4 record so far in the second half. They’ll finish out a series against the Detroit Tigers before playing host to the Blue Jays. They’re 28-22 at their home stadium and are struggling severely on the injury front. The latest additions to their growing IL are Max Kepler and Miguel Sano.
