15/2 shout for away win

Manchester United resume their Premier League campaign with a trip to Bramall Lane on Saturday night, with kick-off at 20:00. Sheffield United are still searching for their first win, and I’ve put together a bet builder for this fixture.

Team News

Chris Basham will be out for the foreseeable future after his shocking injury against Fulham. The defender has undergone two surgeries, while fellow centre-back John Egan remains out, along with Ben Osborn and Max Lowe. Tom Davies could return.

After the international break, Manchester United will welcome back their stars from all around the world. Fortunately for them, it looks as if they have all come through it unscathed and nobody has joined their already lengthy injury list. Lisandro Martinez, Jadon Sancho, Sergio Reguilon and Luke Shaw all remain sidelined.

Match Odds

Sheffield United are 6/1 to win this match, while Manchester United are as short as 2/5 for the win. A draw can be backed at 18/5.

Manchester United to win

This selection is based on the clear disparity in quality between the two teams. Sheffield United have been woeful so far this season, are yet to win, and now have even more defensive injuries to deal with. Manchester United haven’t been great, but they should have more than enough quality in the tank to win this match.

BTTS Yes

Erik Ten Hag’s side have struggled defensively so far this term, so we can extend the odds by picking BTTS Yes to go with our other selections. The Blades have scored against Fulham and Spurs recently and on home soil will be desperate to make amends for the 8-0 hammering they suffered at the hands of Newcastle United. They can get on the scoresheet.

Bruno Fernandes to score

In the win at Turf Moor, it was captain Bruno Fernandes who stepped up to the plate with a ferocious volley. That secured a 1-0 victory, and in a game where the away side should dominate the ball and create chances, he can find the net again. He also found the net for Portugal during the international break and will be keen to keep his goalscoring run going.

Rasmus Hojlund to score

Another international goalscorer during the break was Rasmus Hojlund. The young striker has looked promising in a Manchester United shirt and now it is time for him to step up and take on that goalscoring responsibility. The Red Devils should create a tonne of chances in this match, and Hojlund can take advantage of one of them.
