Bayern Munich will experience a very lively winter transfer window

The World Cup has left its mark in Bavaria. The numerous injuries that have occurred in recent weeks have forced Bayern Munich to review their plans for this winter. Lucas Hernandez and Leroy Sané were injured quickly in Qatar, the Frenchman even being out of action until the end of the season. Manuel Neuer is in the same situation, he who broke his leg in ski touring, while Sadio Mané, package just before the World Cup, will not be available before February.

The most urgent file is that of the goalkeeper. A lot of names have already been mentioned in recent days between an early return from his loan to Monaco of Alexander Nübel, the arrival of Keylor Navas or that of Yann Sommer, in addition to the revelations of the World Cup like the Argentinian Emiliano Martinez, the Moroccan Yassine Bounou and the Croatian Dominik Livaković, all present in the last four of the competition. But there will not be only one arrival, ensures TZ this morning.

At least two arrivals this winter

According to the German media, at least two reinforcements are planned, including a doorman who will start for the second part of the season. Already courted last summer, Konrad Laimer has a good chance of landing this winter. Bayern are in a strong position in this case, for two reasons. The first is that Nagelsmann knows the RB Leipzig midfielder perfectly, having managed him from 2019 to 2021; the second, the Austrian comes to the end of the contract in June. The RBL could therefore recover some money on this transfer.

Finally, the long injury of Lucas Hernandez leaves a void in central defense. While he has been coming back well for a few weeks, the left-hander leaves De Ligt and Upamecano alone in the position, in addition to a Pavard, who is increasingly used as a central defender, but who has less and less of his head at Bayern. Josko Gvardiol is courted but it costs far too much (release clause at 120 M€). The Bavarian giant looks rather for a corridor player, ticking the name of Malo Gusto, while Bouna Sarr is once again announced on the departure.
