Bills vs Dolphins Prediction: Offensive shootout on display

The two highest-scoring teams in the NFL this season will battle it out at the Highmark Stadium as the Buffalo Bills host the Miami Dolphins on Sunday evening (18:00).

Both sides are coming off convincing victories last weekend, with the Bills dismantling the Washington Commanders 37-3, while Miami destroyed the Denver Broncos 70-20 in a record-setting day which catapulted them to the top of the AFC East.

Team News

Buffalo listed Micah Hyde and Jordan Poyer as players who did not participate in practice this week, due to hamstring and knee problems respectively.

Meanwhile, Jaylen Waddle, one of the team’s better wide receivers, had full participation in practice on Wednesday after a recent concussion, so he could return for the Dolphins on Sunday.

Miami Dolphins (+2.5) @ 21/20

This game is giving us the unstoppable force (Miami’s offense) against the immovable object (Buffalo’s defense).

Perhaps this selection is a tad surprising given that Miami have lost nine of their past 10 games against the Bills but I was in awe of the Dolphins’ offense last week against Denver – an electrifying watch.

The Bills look to be back to the team we’ve become accustomed to in recent years, in their commanding victory last week. Josh Allen looked to be an MVP quarterback and Terrell Bernard won AFC Defensive Player of the Week as a result of his performance.

However, Miami’s offense is the most explosive in the league at the moment, and I think any team would be hard-pressed to stop them.

This match is simply a must-watch.

Over 53.3 points @ 20/23

For of the accolades that the Bills’ defense gets, they have put up 75 points across the last two weeks, and the Dolphins put up 70 on their own last week, so I’m taking the over on the points total here.

I can see this game turning into an offensive shootout, and there’s a reason the points total is set at 53.5.

Two high-flying offenses full of confidence going head-to-head? Surely, these two teams will rack up the points on Sunday.
