Kramaric can maintain Der Blau winning run

The Bundesliga returns at the weekend and the Friday night (19:30) kick off sees Hoffenheim hosting Dortmund. We’ve previewed this contest and given you our best bets for the occasion.

This match looks a highly competitive game with both teams riding-high in the Bundesliga table, after making impressive starts.

Hoffenheim (2/1) are sat in fifth in the German top flight, after four straight wins, following an opening day loss to Freiburg.

Since then, Pellegrino Matarazzo’s men have beaten Heidenheim, Wolfsburg, Koln and Union Berlin to march up the league.

Meanwhile, Dortmund (11/10) remain unbeaten, with three wins and two draws from their opening five fixtures and are just a point and a place below their opponents on Friday.

Edin Terzić will be confident BVB can win on the road again here and leapfrog Hoffenheim into the Champions League spots.

Team news:

Matarazzo is without Dennis Geiger, who is struggling with an adductor problem, whilst Marco John and Bambasé Conté are not fit enough to resume matchday duties currently.

Marcel Sabitzer is another man struggling with his adductors and joins Thomas Meunier and Mateo Morey on the injury list for Dortmund.

Hoffenheim to win and Both Teams to Score – 16/5

Der Blau are on a superb run at present and I believe they can keep it going at the Rhein-Neckar-Arena in front of their home fans.

Mattarazzo has assembled an impressive looking squad and they are producing some quality football at times.

Meanwhile, Terzic finds himself under a bit of pressure after a couple of draws against mediocre teams and a loss here could intensify those calls for a change.

Dortmund have scored in every Bundesliga fixture thus far, however and I don’t foresee that changing.

Hoffenheim to win and both teams to score looks like a selection that could come to fruition.

Andrej Kramaric to score – 13/8

One of those quality players in the Hoffenheim squad is Kramaric, who joined from Leicester City back in 2016.

Since then the number 10 has amassed almost a century of goals for the club at just under a goal every other game.

The Croat has three goals already in this seasons Bundesliga and could be on course to beat his 20-goal record he notched in 2021/21.

I like his chances of getting on the scoresheet on Friday evening.
