Molde vs Bayer Leverkusen Prediction: Visitors can dominate

Bayer Leverkusen will look to make it two wins from two in the Europa League when they travel to Norway to take on Molde on Thursday night.

Molde are searching for their first win in Group H after losing 1-0 to Qarabag, but they will be up against it, with Xabi Alonso’s men top of the Bundesliga after an incredible start.

Team news

Molde pair Martin Linnes and Erling Knudtzon have missed the last few games through injury and that should continue once again this week.

Alonso also has injury woes of his own, the former Liverpool midfielder will be without Arthur, Noah Mbamba and Patrick Schick.

Josip Stanisic was dropped at the weekend due to illness and he may have to settle for a place on the bench as he gets back to full fitness.

Bayer Leverkusen to win to nil @ 13/8

Leverkusen look to be the team to watch in the Europa League, and they are considered the third favourites at 14/1.

Alonso has got his team playing an exciting brand of football and they have the firepower to hurt teams. They proved their class when securing a 2-2 draw against Bayern Munich last month, and they are still unbeaten this season.

That draw against Bayern was their only setback, and they will travel to Norway in a confident mood. They have kept three clean sheets in their last four away games in all competitions, and Molde will struggle to find a way past them.

They failed to score against Qarabag, and Leverkusen will be a much tougher assignment.

Victor Boniface to score anytime @ 4/5

Alonso has some quality players at his disposal across the pitch and striker Victor Boniface has proven he can stand up and take charge this season.

The 22-year-old has led the line superbly well for Leverkusen, scored six goals in six appearances in the Bundesliga.

He has scored three braces, in games against Borussia Monchengladbach, Darmstadt and Heidenheim and continues to impress each and every week.

Boniface scored in Leverkusen’s 4-0 Europa League success over Hacken in their first group game and he can get himself on the scoresheet as he takes on the Norwegian outfit.
