Naples prepares after Victor Osimhen

Napoli’s great season is not over yet. Despite being eliminated in the quarter-finals of the Champions League against AC Milan (1-0, 1-1), the big club from southern Italy is heading for the third Serie A title in its history, the first title since 1990. With 14 points ahead of its current runner-up, Lazio, nothing can stop it. It’s only a matter of time but management can already prepare for next season. After such a season with Spalletti, there is likely to be movement.

We think first of all of Victor Osimhen. The striker is the star of this team, having scored 26 goals in 31 games in all competitions this season. There is little doubt that the Nigerian will leave in the next transfer window. Under contract until 2025, he is courted by the biggest clubs in Europe such as PSG, as we said on March 21, Manchester United or Bayern Munich, which would even be well placed. On the other hand, it will be necessary to pay the price. Naples is expecting no less than €150m to release its 24-year-old centre-forward.

Abraham, Hojlund and Boniface are the favorites

“I don’t know what the future holds for me. I think I’m on the right track. At the end of the season, I will meet with my agents and discuss everything. I will also negotiate with the club. I am incredibly grateful to Napoli. We will find a good solution together”, said the main interested party a little over a month ago. His current club is however preparing his transfer by drawing up a first list of players capable of taking over.

According to the Corriere dello Sport, Tammy Abraham (25) is the preferred target of the Azzurri but the Englishman from Roma (under contract until 2026) is obviously not alone. The young Dane from Atalanta, Rasmus Hojlund (20) is also courted, he who was recruited 17 M € last summer. Naples is also thinking of a compatriot from Osmihen, in the person of Victor Boniface (22), 20 times scorer in 40 games including VAT with Union Saint-Gilloise. Finally, Beto (25) from Udinese is the last of this shortlist even if he appears a little further back.
