According to information obtained by Foot Mercato, Real Madrid have advanced their pawns to recruit Stanislav Lobotka. Performing in Naples, the midfielder caught the eye of many European clubs. Discussions are said to be underway about a possible transfer: the media understands that the Neapolitans expect between 60 and 70 million euros to sign him.

‘Real Madrid focus on young players with prospects’

The interest was confirmed by a journalist from the daily ace, Mirko Calemme. The merengue club could however favor younger elements: “Ancelotti loves him without a doubt, it’s a profile they know very well at Real Madrid, given his past at Celta Vigo. Lobotka is already 28 years old. However, Real Madrid are focusing on young players with prospects”he explained at the microphone of Radio KissKiss (words relayed by The 10 Sports).

28-year-old Stanislav Lobotka has taken part in 26 games since the start of the season. His contract runs until June 2025. Liverpool would also be on the way to recruit him: eager to strengthen their workforce, the Reds could bet large sums in the coming months and upset Real Madrid. The Slovak international would have dazzled Jürgen Klopp, during the face-to-face between Liverpool and the Vesuvius club, in the Champions League.

Naples had invested 21 million euros to bring the player in January 2020. The native of Trencin was then playing at Celta Vigo. The midfielder has since participated in 86 matches, in all competitions, under the tunic of the SSCN.
