The knockout stages of the Champions League having given their verdict, the eight surviving clubs can now turn to the quarter-finals. If French football is no longer represented after the elimination of Paris Saint-Germain against Bayern Munich, the defending champion remains in the race for the double. Fallout of Liverpool, Real Madrid remains the only Spanish club still qualified. England can count on two representatives (Manchester City, Chelsea), but it is above all Italy that has struck a blow with no less than three teams still in contention (Naples, AC Milan, Inter Milan). For the rest, Germany with Bayern Munich and Portugal with Benfica Lisbon complete a very high level.

Man City face the executioner of PSG

This Friday, UEFA conducted the draw. For a place in the semi-finals, Real Madrid will face Chelsea, struggling in the Premier League. Left behind by FC Barcelona in the race for the title of Spanish champion, the Merengue of Carlo Ancelotti will play big against the Blues of Graham Potter. Still looking for the first C1 in its history, Manchester City will cross paths with Bayern Munich for a poster that will look like a final before the hour. Untouchable leader of Serie A, Naples will meet AC Milan in an all-Italian quarter-final. Finally, Inter Milan will leave with the favor of the predictions against Benfica Lisbon.

In the process, the table of the semi-finals was unveiled. The winner of Real Madrid-Chelsea will challenge the winner of Manchester City-Bayern Munich, while the three Italian clubs find themselves in the same game. Serie A can therefore dream of a semi-final between two of its behemoths.
