Then asked about the players who have influenced his career in some way by becoming role models, Benzema did not hesitate for long. “Thierry Henry is a legend! Even if I grew up with Ronaldo, after him for me, it’s Thierry Henry”, dropped the merengue striker. Since his professional debut, the 2022 Ballon d’Or has always cited the Brazilian as his main source of inspiration.
An insane calendar for Real
After playing in the Club World Cup, Real will have to refocus on La Liga. Relegated to eight points from FC Barcelona before the Blaugrana club’s trip to Villarreal this Sunday, the European champion has no other choice but to get plenty of points in the league in the coming weeks.
