Igor Tudor, OM

Against Montpellier on Friday (1-1), OM signed a new more than sluggish performance at home, creating in particular very few chances despite an unprecedented association between Alexis Sanchez and Vitinha in attack. Forced to concede a draw, Igor Tudor’s men gave up their second place to RC Lens, who obtained the three points on the lawn of Stade Rennais (0-1).

However, the Olympians, at least a large majority, were able to recharge their batteries during the international break. A period during which Igor Tudor also gave his first real interview to the newspaper L’Équipe. The Croat details in particular his methods, his principles of play, and we learn that he requires his players to be fully involved in training, the native of Split explaining that he even sent one of his men back to locker room for this reason lately.

Pistons not at the party

Is the difficult period going through by the club creating tensions between the coach and his players? As we reported during the day, relations between Jonathan Clauss and the former coach of Hellas Verona have deteriorated. The team also revealed the name of the player who was fired from training and it is the other piston, Nuno Tavares. The Portuguese, author of an excellent start to the season and who scored 6 goals during this exercise, has been struggling for many weeks and his investment would therefore be called into question by Igor Tudor.

On loan without an option to buy from Arsenal, Nuno Tavares will return to London at the end of the season. Pablo Longoria will he try to keep the former Lisbon by transferring him permanently to the Canebière? Not sure, given his poor performance in recent games.
