Two departures already announced for this summer!

After an already failed season, Liverpool could well experience a very hectic summer transfer window. In the sense of departure, many players should thus be invited to pack their bags.

Swept away by Manchester City (4-1), Liverpool received a real football lesson this Saturday on the lawn of the Etihad Stadium. This very poor performance is unfortunately part of an already difficult context for the Merseyside club. Only eighth in the Premier League, the Reds are very far from the podium. In the Champions League, the career of Jurgen Klopp’s men came to an abrupt end against Real Madrid (2-5/1-0) in the quarter-finals.

Following a 2022-2023 exercise to forget as quickly as possible, the Liverpool staff therefore risks taking radical decisions during the months of the summer of 2023. According to information from Fabrizio Romano, several departures have already been recorded. The famous journalist thus affirms on his account Twitter that Naby Keita should in particular make his departure when his contract will have expired by the end of next June.

Liverpool: Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain already announced on departure

Recruited by the LFC in July 2018, the Guinean unfortunately failed to meet the high expectations that existed upon his arrival. Author of 11 goals and 7 assists with the red tunic in almost five seasons, the former hope of RB Leipzig never managed to find his marks in Great Britain. His mission will now be to find a new challenge to relaunch his career.

Fabrizio Romano, whose sources generally turn out to be very well informed, also claims that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is also close to saying goodbye to Anfield. With four small starts this season in the Premier League, the Briton is clearly not in Jurgen Klopp’s plans and should also opt for new horizons.
